Prohibited Products & Content
To keep Kamkaji safe and lawful, Sellers must not list, and users must not upload, share or display, any of the following. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service and follows Rule 3(1)(b) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
1. Content that is not allowed
- Content that belongs to someone else and that you have no right to use.
- Obscene, pornographic or paedophilic content; content invasive of another's privacy (including bodily privacy); content that insults or harasses on the basis of gender, or is racially or ethnically objectionable.
- Content that is harmful to children.
- Content that infringes any patent, trademark, copyright or other proprietary right.
- Content that deceives or misleads about its origin, or knowingly communicates misinformation or information that is patently false or misleading.
- Content that impersonates another person.
- Content that threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign States, or public order, or incites any cognisable offence.
- Viruses or any code meant to interrupt, destroy or limit any computer resource.
- Online games or betting that are not permitted under law; content promoting gambling.
- Anything that violates any law in force in India.
2. Products that may not be sold
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives, fireworks without licence, and hazardous or toxic chemicals.
- Narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances; prescription medicines without a valid licence; anything claiming to cure diseases in violation of the Drugs and Magic Remedies Act.
- Alcohol, and tobacco or nicotine products (including e-cigarettes), except where specifically licensed and lawful — and never to minors.
- Counterfeit, fake or replica branded goods; pirated software, films, music or books.
- Stolen goods; fake currency, stamps or documents; government IDs; personal data.
- Wildlife and wildlife products, protected plants, ivory, animal skins.
- Human organs, body parts or fluids.
- Adult and sexually explicit products where unlawful.
- Gold/precious items or financial products sold in violation of law; lottery tickets; investment or "money-doubling" schemes.
- Food without a required FSSAI licence/registration, and any product that does not meet mandatory standards (BIS, Legal Metrology, etc.).
- Any other item whose sale is restricted or banned under Indian law.
3. Reporting and action
Anyone can report a store, product or content with our complaint form. We act on complaints within the times stated on the Grievance Redressal page — and, for content involving nudity, sexual content or impersonation, within 24 hours. We may remove content and suspend stores that break this policy, keep records as required by law, and report illegal activity to the authorities.
